SUBJECT:
DISCRIMINATIVE LEADERSHIP
Kalokol community is collectively
dismayed over the current trend of
events that negatively affect the mutual co-existence among the community members due to the above
stated matter.
Kalokol
residents have suffered out of autocratic leadership that emanates from
political supporters affiliated to the current political leadership that
suppresses and oppresses the existence of
local governing structures that existed before.
Kalokol community articulates issues that have sharply
disintegrated peaceful co-existence as follows:-
1. POLITICAL
INCITEMENTS
Kalokol
community has greatly suffered due to social insecurity created by political
incitements that create tension with a focus of subjecting community members to
total fear as a measure to silence the vulnerable populace.
The
below mentioned persons are key planners for issues that bring unrest in
Kalokol. They include:-

Political supporters affiliated
to cord member of county assembly have been mandated to treat other community members in a manner suggesting that they
don’t deserve to live in Kalokol. For
instance during relief food distribution those who supported the Jubilee candidates are never considered
instead left in the cold. Splinter groups have been
formed to jeopardize the existing institutions and
counteract peace.
2. WATER USERS
ASSOCIATION
Kalokol
community and the registered members of Kalokol Water Users Association have
fully challenged the current changes created by the member of county assembly
by appointing political supporters to manage the organization without
collective consultation with the members that have taps in the community.
Kalokol
water users association reserves the right to engage the tap owners to issues affecting
the organization. Kalokol water users call for cancellation of the committees
appointed by members of the county assembly from supporters that worked for
political campaigns. The water users lack confidence in the political
appointees whose intension is to implement separatist policies.
Kalokol
Water User’s Association constitution stipulates that the tenure of the elected
committees ends on April 2014. Demolition of the existing committees before the
expiry period of the management tenure of service has affected various
institutions including primary schools, dispensaries, loading groups, beaches,
village elders, SACCOs and this has triggered disunity, lack of trust among the
community members.
3.
KENYA
OIL-BGP BASE CAMP
Kalokol
community members object the notion of the member of the county assembly of
disruption of the already tendered community members supplying goods to the
base camp with a focus of tendering Cord political supporters in order to
settle political pledges. The same applies also during employment of youths.
County
government officials only report to Kalokol to attend small political groups
that supported the Cord leadership as a measure of settling political scores,
no public barazas that are conducted to capture the needs of the community
development priorities. Kalokol has suffered total stalement.
4.
VOTE
OF NO CONFIDENCE
Kalokol
community lacks confidence with the member of the county assembly due to a series
of discriminative leadership actions
portrayed openly in a manner suggesting
that the leadership capacity was
acquired through a flawed process.
Kalokol community therefore calls
for a recall of the member of the county assembly and a new electoral process conducted. Find, here appended
